Web-based data capture for DLHE

DLHE circular 06_01 sought views on the development of a centrally-hosted web-based DLHE questionnaire and announced a pilot development for the April 2006 survey. Responses to this circular supported the idea of HESA providing a centrally-hosted service and a number of institutions have taken part in the pilot exercise.

At the recent meeting of the HESA Board, it was agreed to adopt this stream of work as a part of the Agency's core business. A project is now underway at HESA to develop a full version of the DLHE survey system that will be first implemented for all institutions for the January 2007 survey of 2005/06 graduates. The system will then be available routinely for subsequent April and January surveys. Use of this system by HE institutions will be entirely optional.
