UCAS data for HESA (*J) survey

Both UCAS and HESA strive to provide a high level of service in support of institutions. In your role as a HESA student record contact we would be grateful if you could take the time to complete this short survey designed to gauge satisfaction levels and to seek feedback in connection with the UCAS Data for HESA Transaction (*J).

A brief introduction to the *J

UCAS Data for HESA (also known as *J) is the transaction which has been designed to supply data available from UCAS to higher education institutions, in an appropriate format, so that it can be used in making their HESA Student Record return. It is an annual data supply and is freely available to all UCAS member institutions.

The survey

We are looking to gather information from users about the timeliness, accessibility, format, use, content and communication of *J. The feedback from this survey will be very valuable to UCAS and HESA. Your views will be used to help inform the long term future plans for *J; and so will help shape the potential development and use of this transaction.

Please feel free to forward this survey to other colleagues who are also involved with the UCAS data for HESA (*J) file.

The survey will close on 26 May 2012. The results will be used by UCAS and HESA and may be published (anonymously).

The survey contains around 30 questions and should only take 15 - 20 minutes to complete. There is a section at the end of the survey for you to leave your email address should you wish to have further contact regarding this subject.

The survey can be accessed at http://survey.hesa.ac.uk/ucashesa.
