Statistical First Release 130 - Re-issue notice
This Statistical First Release was re-issued on 12 February 2009 due to errors identified following original release. The errors identified were as follows:
- Figures for the Open University relating to part-time other undergraduate students within Table 4 for 2007/08 were not restricted to first year students as they should have been. This erroneous total figure for part-time undergraduates at the Open University was inflated by approx 82,750.
- Students qualifying with the newly-designated Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (as distinct from the Postgraduate Certificate in Education) were incorrectly classified within the 2007/08 postgraduate totals of tables 7 and 7a when they should have been classified within the 'other undergraduate HE' totals. Numbers of such students amounted to approx 6,110 in 2007/08.
The Agency apologises for these errors.
