C03011 COMMIT Stage Validation Rules

 
COMMIT-stage validation checks are only run once a COMMIT request has been received from the institution by the data collection system. These checks can only operate within a database-type environment and, therefore, cannot be included in the submission-level validation kits.

Validation Errors – Number, Text and Specification

30112001- Cannot have multiple occurrences of HUSID and NUMHUS.
If multiple occurrences of INSTID, HUSID and NUMHUS appear, then fail
30112002 - This module must exist on the Module Record.
If a MODID is in the Student Record (YY012) then that module must exist on the Module Record (YY013)
30112003 - Multiple occurrences of MODID.
A duplicate MODID within the YY013 data must not exist
30112004 - Incorrect INSTID in data.
An incorrect INSTID in YY011 and YY012 data must not exist
30112005 - Incorrect INSTID in module data.
An incorrect INSTID in YY013 data must not exist
30112006 - If two records have the same HUSID, then Date of Birth must be the same.
If 2 records have the same HUSID, then Date of Birth must be consistent.
30112007 - If two records have the same HUSID, then Gender must be the same.
If 2 records have the same HUSID, then Gender must be consistent.
30112008 - If RECID = 03012 and FRNCHACT =1, then PCOLAB must not be greater than zero in any module
If RECID = YY012 and FRNCHACT =1 and PCOLAB > 000.0 in any module, then fail
30112009 - If RECID = 03012 and FRNCHACT = 2 then PCOLAB must not be zero in all modules
If RECID = YY012 and FRNCHACT =2 and PCOLAB = 000.0 in all modules, then fail
30112010 - HE Students with multiple active full-time/sandwich records
If multiple occurrences of INSTID, HUSID and QUALAIM appear where QUALAIM in (02 to 52) and MODE in (01, 23, 24, 52, 53) and DATELEFT is blank, then fail
30112019 - Where a HIN link exists, Date of Birth in both records must be the same
If an incoming record and the one on the HIN Register have the same HIN, then Date of Birth must be consistent. Applies to (QUALAIM = 15, 18 to 33, 41 to 45, 51, 52), Full time, sandwich and part time mode of study, UK Domicile, LOCSDY <> 7, (SPCSTU = 1, 2, 7, 9, A, B), and YEARSTU=01 but exclude quality improvements i.e. where default Date of Birth (31/12/9999 or 99/99/9999) in the HIN Register and a valid (non-default) Date of Birth sent this time).

30112020 - If FTE type=100.0 and TYPEYR=5 and FUNDCOMP=1 then STULOAD must be zero.
If English or Northern Irish institution and INSTID in group 3 and TYPEYR=5 and FUNDCOMP=1 then STULOAD must be zero.
30112024 - If FTE type is standard year, then TYPEYR must be coded 1.
If English or Northern Irish institution and INSTID in group 1, then TYPEYR must be coded 1.
30112025 - If RECID = 03012 and FRNCHACT = 3, then PCOLAB must not be zero in any module.
If RECID = YY012 and FRNCHACT =3 and PCOLAB = 000.0 in any module, then fail

Validation Warnings – Number, Text and Specification

30112011 - HE credit/no qualaim students with multiple active full-time/sandwich records
If multiple occurrences of INSTID, HUSID and QUALAIM appear where QUALAIM in (61, 62, 97, 98) and MODE in (01, 23, 24, 52, 53) and DATELEFT is blank, then warn
30112012 - HE students with multiple active part-time/other records
If multiple occurrences of INSTID, HUSID and QUALAIM appear where QUALAIM in (02 to 52, 61, 62, 97, 98) and MODE not in (01, 23, 24, 52, 53) and DATELEFT is blank, then warn
30112013 - FE students with multiple active records
If multiple occurrences of INSTID, HUSID and QUALAIM appear where QUALAIM in (53, 54, 55, 71 to 86, 99) and DATELEFT is blank, then warn
30112014 - If two records have the same name, date of birth and gender, then HUSID should be the same
If multiple BIRTHDTE, GENDER, soundex (SURNAME) and soundex (FNAMES) occur, with different HUSIDs, and RECID is not YY21x, YY31x, YY71x, then warn
30112015 - Sum of Module FTEs is greater than STULOAD+100.0
If sum of Module FTEs for a student is greater than STULOAD+100.0, then warn
30112017 - FE qualification aim code not found in LSC Qualification database
If English institution and FESTUMK = 1, 3 or 4 and FEQAIM not found in LSC Qualifications database, then warn
30112018 - Complete student return has no module results
If MODRES is blank for all cases where RECID = YY012/YY112 for the complete return, then warn

30112021 - If FTE type=100.0 and TYPEYR=2 and FUNDCOMP=1 and DATELEFT is in academic year (i.e. between 01/08/Y1 and 31/07/Y2) then STULOAD must be 000.0.
If English or Northern Irish institution and INSTID in group 3 and TYPEYR=2 and FUNDCOMP=1 and DATELEFT is in academic year (i.e. between 01/08/Y1 and 31/07/Y2) then STULOAD must be 000.0.
30112022 - If FTE type=0:100 and TYPEYR=3 then STULOAD must be 000.0.
If English or Northern Irish institution and INSTID in group 4 and TYPEYR=3 then STULOAD must be 000.0.
30112023 - If FTE type=0:100 and TYPEYR=2 and COMDATE in academic year (i.e. between 01/08/Y1 and 31/07/Y2) and DATELEFT is blank then STULOAD must be 000.0.
If English or Northern Irish institution and INSTID in group 4 and TYPEYR=2 and COMDATE in academic year (i.e. between 01/08/Y1 and 31/07/Y2) and DATELEFT is blank then STULOAD must be 000.0.
