Reminders

Record contact changes

The record contact is the first point of communication during data collection. Access and PIN codes will be sent out to your institution's nominated record contact. If these details have changed please ensure you notify liaison@hesa.ac.uk to prevent any delay in the receipt of these codes.

Interaction with colleagues

The Campus Information collection provides metadata for use with the HESA Staff and Student records. Therefore please ensure you liaise with your colleagues who are responsible for completing these returns in order to ensure consistency of reporting.

Data collection news

2012/13 Institution Profile data collection

Next year, i.e. for 2012/13, the current Campus Information System data collection will be replaced by the Institution Profile data collection, which will contain additional information.

The information required for the Institution Profile data collection will include campus locations, cost centres and also cost centre/departmental allocations. It will be compulsory for institutions in England to return information on cost centre/departmental allocations and optional for institutions in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Institution Profile data will be collected for the first time in June 2013 (C12041); the coding manual is due to be released in June 2012 – a year ahead of data collection. HEI contacts for this data stream will be sought in Spring 2013.
