Associate Software Developer

Are you looking for your first role in tech? Do you have some tech skills that you want to enhance so you can start your career and become a software developer? If yes, this is the opportunity for you!

Here at HESA we are partnering with Northcoders to provide training for our new associate developers. Together, we will give you the technical tools and training needed to be successful, so that you can move into a career with HESA as part of our Development Team.

You’ll start your career at HESA by joining the Northcoders award-winning coding bootcamp for your first three months. This training will support you on our current and emerging technologies.

Over the next thirteen months you’ll have a mixture of experience working on real life transformation projects such as Data Futures, a sector-wide transformation programme or other challenging projects, combined with further training provided by Northcoders.

After the bootcamp you’ll join HESA in one of their Scrum teams and get hands on experience in a development environment, contributing to and supported by your scrum team.

Upon your successful completion of the thirteen-month program you’ll be part of HESA as an associate developer where we’ll encourage and support you to develop your career.

The apprentice level role is available to applicants who meet the Northcoders entry criteria.

The salary range for this post is £25k. We offer an attractive package with 25 days leave, plus bank holidays, flexible working including remote and home working options, defined benefit pension scheme to which HESA contributes the equivalent of 16% of employee salary and occupational health support.
