File Structure - Data supply
Four data tables are supplied in CSV and XML format. The CORE table contains the majority of fields excluding subject information, which is held in the SUBJECT table, cost centre information which is held in the COST CENTRE table and module information which is held in the MODULE table.
The tables contain the following types of field:
- Instance.INSTANCEKEY which is a unque key within the database and is used to link records across tables
- Base fields from the C10051 submission prefixed with the appropriate entity; Instance, Student, Course or Module Subject
- EP_Use fields are the entry profile fields collected for new entrants and which may be updated in subsequent years, if data submitted originally is found to be incorrect. To allow delivery of a flat file structure, the three possible occurrences of EntryProfile.PGCESBJ are provided as three fields, EP_USE.PGCESBJ1-3.
- Derived fields, prefixed with an X, are standard ways of grouping data. Specifications including a contents list will be provided via the Aardvark system.
