Notes

Some learners will qualify for a disadvantage uplift for two or even three reasons. Nearly half of basic skills learners are already eligible for an uplift. In these circumstances, the provider may claim the highest uplift factor.

Learners benefiting directly from Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) funding will also be eligible for the disadvantage uplift. Where a provider intends to use this reason for claiming disadvantage uplift funds, it should first discuss the matter with its local SFA/YPLA to establish which SRB project is being used to justify additional funds and how the learners affected are to be identified.
