This document lists the COMMIT validation checks that will be applied during the COMMIT transaction of the data collection system. An explanation of the different stages of validation is shown in the validation overview document.

| KISCourse.CourseStage | 1 | Error | The sum of CourseStage.WRITTEN, CourseStage.PRACTICAL and CourseStage.COURSEWORK for at least one CourseStage within a KISCourse must not be zero. |
| KISCourse.HESACourse | 1 | Error | Where a single Institution.KISCourse is linked to multiple HESACourses, then when mapped to JACS level 3, the set of JACS codes for each KISCourse.HESACourse must be the same. |
| KISCourse.HESACourse | 2 | Error | For each KISCourse with KISCourse.KISTYPE = 1 linked to a KISCourse.KISTYPE = 2 KISCourse, every linked KISCourse.HESACourses must have only one JACS principal subject, and all of these principal subjects must be the same. |
| KISCourse.HESACourse | 3 | Error | Where a single Institution.KISCourse is linked to multiple HESACourses then, when mapped to a qualification level they must all be either first degree or other undergraduate, and not both. |
| KISCourse.ILRAims | 1 | Error | Where a single Institution.KISCourse is linked to multiple KISCourse.ILRAims then, when mapped to JACS level 3, the set of LDCS codes that have weight associated with them for each ILRAIM must be the same. |
| KISCourse.ILRAims | 2 | Error | For each KISCourse with KISCourse.KISTYPE = 1 linked to a KISCourse.KISTYPE = 2 KISCourse, all linked KISCourse.ILRAims must have only one KISCourse.JACS principal subject and all of these principal subjects must be the same. |
| KISCourse.ILRAims | 3 | Error | Where a single Institution.KISCourse is linked to multiple KISCourse.ILRAims then, when mapped to a qualification level they must all be either first degree or other undergraduate, and not both. |
| KISCourse.UCASCOURSEID | 1 | Warning | If KISCourse.UCASCOURSEID exists for a KISCourse, all UCASCOURSEIDs must exist. Warn if not on latest list of UCASCOURSEIDs. |
| HESACourse.HESACOURSEID | 1 | Error | Must exist within the Course.COURSEID list for the year given in HESACourse.HESAYEAR. If HESACourse.HESAYEAR = BOTH then it must exist in both years. |
| IRLAims.ILRAIMID | 1 | Error | Must exist within the ILR F05 list for the year given in IRLAims.ILRYEAR. If IRLAims.ILRYEAR = BOTH then it must exist in both years. |
| Institution.UKPRN | 1 | Error | Must equal the UKPRN derived from the ORGID from extranet. |
