The following changes have been made since 2013/14:
  • Table 3 Head 7a (Repayable loans to funding council) has been added to the calculations of KFI 29, 32a and 32b.

C14031 FSR template (xlsx) (Non-functional) 1.0 The 14031 FSR non-functional template has been added under the 'Downloadable files' section.
The following changes have been made since 2013/14:
  • In FSR Table 3, two heads have been renamed, these are:
    • Head 7a 'Repayable loans to funding council'
    • Head 7c 'Other (including grant claw back)'
  • In FSR Table 5b, new Column 5 'UK central government tax credits for research and development expenditure' has been added
  • In FSR Table 6b, new Head 3cii 'UK central government tax credits for research and development expenditure' has been added
  • In FSR Table 6b, Head 1aiii has been renamed to 'Recurrent - Other (including non-recurrent special funding)'
  • A new validation warning rule has been added to Table 8 Column 2 'Funding Council grants,' to appear where a HEP returns 0
  • Validation rule 31086 has been amended to only apply to providers in Wales.
FSR Table 3 - Consolidated balance sheet 1.1 Guidance has been added to clarify grant claw-back should be returned under Head 7c.
FSR Tables 5a and 5b - Research grants and contracts 1.1 Guidance has been added to clarify what should be returned under new Column 5 'UK central government tax credits for research and development expenditure '.
FSR Table 6a - Tuition fees and education contracts 1.1 Guidance has been amended to clarify that students from the Channel Islands and Isle of Man should be returned as Non-EU domicile students.
Notes on research income from charities 1.1 A link to the existing document has been added under the 'Guidance for Finance Statistics Return (FSR) tables (14031)' section, to increase visibility.
Quick start guide 1.1 All references to the former access control methodology for the Data collection system have been updated.
