This field documents whether the student is in receipt of one or more discretionary awards in addition to a bursary award (recorded in Student.BURSLEV). Providers will be able to award higher bursary awards than a trainee’s degree class would allow if they have outstanding potential. All providers will be allocated a small limited uplift approximately 3% of their total bursary funding in addition to their core bursary allocation, to award these discretionary higher bursaries to eligible trainees. Further guidance on the types of bursary, and the amounts available, may be found in the NCTL's 'Training Bursary Guide'. |
