To ensure that DLHE pay data are reliable and comparable, it is important this field meets expected response rates. Hours can be recorded as either those contracted, paid or worked in descending order. If a leaver can provide contracted hours, this should be recorded. In instances where a leaver does not have contracted hours (e.g. zero hours contract but where the leaver is actively working) the leaver’s paid hours should be recorded. Where a leaver does not have contracted hours and is not being paid (e.g. volunteering) the worked hours can be returned.
