All fields and entities

 n/a References to 'cost centre' have been replaced with 'HESA cost centre' for clarity of definition across the coding manual. Where this change has impacted upon the schema specific mention is given in the change management and revision notes for the field concerned.
AcademicCostCentre.ACCENTRE 1.1 Field long name changed from 'Academic cost centre' to 'Academic HESA cost centre'. This change has been made in order to more clearly identify the definition of cost centre used.
AcademicCostCentre.PROPACC 1.1 Field long name changed from 'Proportion of department in the academic cost centre' to 'Proportion of department in the academic HESA cost centre'. This change has been made in order to more clearly identify the definition of cost centre used.
AcademicCostCentre.PROPDEPT 1.1 Field long name changed from 'Proportion of an academic cost centre from a particular department' to 'Proportion of an academic HESA cost centre from a particular department'. This change has been made in order to more clearly identify the definition of cost centre used.
Campus.EASTING
Campus.NORTHING 		1.1 Further guidance has been added to clarify that the 'Irish Grid Reference System' and the 'Ordnance Survey National Grid' reference system are two different systems and they are both calculated from different reference points.

The schema sequence for submitting data items has been reordered as per the 'Summary of changes since 2014/15 document' notification:

  • Entities are presented in parent-child order, starting with the 'Provider entity'.
  • Fields within entities are presented in the order of primary key fields, candidate key fields, foreign key fields, and non-key fields.
  • Child entities then follow.
  • Each field or entity within a parent entity is presented in alphabetical order to aid its location.
C15041CodeLists.xsd n/a Attributes have been removed from the 'CodeContentType' extension base within the C15041CodeLists.xsd. These have been removed due to limited usage within the higher education sector and the absence of a need for such attributes.
File structure 1.0 Guidance detailing the schema ordering has been added to the File structure.
All documentation n/a First release of documentation.
