Credibility report mapping document

Version 1.0 Produced 2016-07-28

The purpose of this document is to provide a mapping between the locations of tables as presented in the C14051 Check documentation and the tables in the C15051 Credibility report, along with details of any key changes.

The tables will be released incrementally over the coming weeks, and details of the tables included in each release can be found in the Data Collection System Releases and Known Issues page.

There are a number of new chapters being introduced to the Credibility report this year and, as a result, some existing tables are being relocated. Details of these tables can be found below:

The 'New data items' chapter has been removed. We will endeavour to notify providers of any new data tables through circulars and other communications.

We are continuing the transition from Check Documentation to Credibility reporting this year and there are a number of tables that will be moved across. We are focussing attention on the tables that user feedback from seminars and surveys indicates are the most used/useful. Details of the tables being added to Credibility reporting can be found below:

Not all of the tables that existed in Check Documentation are being moved into Credibility reporting. Here is a brief summary of what is happening to some of the other tables from Check Documentation.

Cost Centre Analysis

This is being moved into a standalone report on the Data Collection System. The report will include the latest data from the Staff and Finance collections so you may be able to preview the 2015/16 data that is being submitted by your organisation. Where current year data is not available we will display data from the 2014/15 records. In addition, a series of quality rules are being added to look for inconsistencies between the Student, Staff and Finance data.

Unknowns

The Unknowns table is being converted into a series of quality rules. These will be warnings and will be queried by HESA during the quality assurance process.

Collaborating/Franchising providers

This table will be converted into a suite of 5 quality rules that will look for year on year changes to the profile of your organisation and use of the generic codes.

Campus data

This will remain in Excel format for this year whilst we look at alternative solutions for this suite of tables.

Performance indicators

This will remain in Excel format for this year whilst we look at alternative solutions for this suite of tables.
