Further guidance about returning NCTL programmes (excluding EYITT)

Version 1.0 Produced 2015-09-24

The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) have defined how ITT courses returned in the ITT In-year record should then be returned in the Student record. Providers in England are required to include all students studying on any of these routes in their submission to HESA. The table below identifies which data items are used to identify the different routes and the valid entries applicable to each route. Many of the data items relevant to these students are applicable to both the Student record and the ITT record; treatment of students should be consistent between both returns.
