The guidance in the Notes section associated with the coding of France has been updated, as Mayotte has been redesignated as an Overseas Department (Département d’Outre-Mer), and joined the European Union.

Further guidance on collaborative provision 1.2 The first paragraph of guidance has been amended. The sentence that stated that in order to be returned, collaborative provision arrangements needed to involve both 'a formal agreement and an exchange of funds' has been changed to read 'a formal agreement which would typically involve an exchange of funds'.
Further guidance on reporting qualifications on entry 1.4 Subject restrictions have been reinserted for QUALTYPEs 6M, 7M and 8M: QUALSBJs M94, M96 and M98 respectively. These QUALTYPEs correspond with music theory qualifications; practical qualifications have a much wider variety of subject codes and are not restricted in the same way.

C15051DataTypes.xsd 1.0 Three data types have been removed for 2015/16: TQSSUBType, TQSSUBtype, and MainType. These were associated with the TQSSUB and TQGSUB fields, applicable only to providers in Scotland and Northern Ireland for courses that lead to teacher training qualifications. The change removes an attribute for the data returned in these fields which is no longer required.

Further guidance on collaborative supervision arrangements 1.0 This document has been added under the 'Further guidance' section following consultation with a collaborative provision working group, to aid in the coding of postgraduate research students.
Reduced returns 1.0 Two existing fields, Instance.RCSTDID and Instance.PHDSUB, have been added to reduced return type 01 'Low credit bearing' due to coverage changes to those fields. The document has also been updated to add the new FE fields in the record for 2015/16: Instance.MATHGRADE and Instance.ENGGGRADE, which are compulsory for English providers (where applicable) for reduced return type 01 'Low credit bearing'.
