This field exists to indicate those courses which by nature of their content may exempt students from the HEFCE ELQ ('Equivalent or Lower Qualification') funding policy. In general, students studying on courses which are of an equivalent or lower level to that where a qualification is already held do not qualify for funding. Courses which are exempt from the ELQ policy are indicated by a '1' in this field.
