This field records the gender identity of the member of staff, on the basis of their own self-assessment. The field identifies whether the current gender identity is that assigned at birth.

Gender identity is recorded on the basis of the member of staff's own self-assessment.
Valid entry 4 'Not Available' should be used when the provider does not know the information e.g. the staff member did not respond to the request for information.
The proposed question for the field is 'Does your gender identity match your sex as registered at birth?'
