Estates management record 2020/21 - Notification log
HESA issue regular communications during the life of a collection:
- Circulars: announcements to interested parties concerning or issues relating to the collection. Circulars are always made available on the HESA website for later reference, and emailed out to the mailgroup for the collection.
- Coding manual release overviews: these document iterative changes to the technical documentation that define the form of the data to be submitted, as well as being a place to host resources associated with collecting that data.
2022-05-18 Coding manual release - Version 1.3
The final commit and sign-off dates have been moved back by an additional two weeks within the data collection schedule.
The links to the 'Defra conversion factors and guidance' have been updated under EnvironmentEnergyEmissionsAndWaste.Scope3CarbonEmissionsFromWaste and EnvironmentEnergyEmissionsAndWaste.EnergyConsumption.
2022-02-25 Coding manual release - Version 1.2
The exceptional guidance for the C20042 Estates Management return has been added under the 'Covid-19' section.
Further guidance has been added regarding associated support space within NetInternalArea.SMNIASO.
A link to a full list of hazardous waste examples has been added to the guidance within HazardousWaste.EHAZWT.
2021-12-22 Coding manual release - Version 1.1
The sign off date has been updated to Monday 06 June 2022 within the data collection schedule.
Reference to Minerva have been updated with Issue Management System within the process diagram.
The quality rules have been added under the 'Submission process and quality assurance' section.

The full technical specification of the record for the 2020/21 reporting period.The following documentation has also been added to the coding manual in Version 1.0.
New entity EnvironmentEnergyEmissionsandWaste.StreamlinedEnergyAndCarbonReporting has been introduced to replace the 'Carbon Reduction Commitment' entity. Two new fields StreamlinedEnergyAndCarbonReporting.ESECRP - Streamlined energy and carbon reporting scheme participation and StreamlinedEnergyAndCarbonReporting.ESECRPCS - Streamlined energy and carbon reporting scheme cost have been added under the new entity.
