Notes

Students that leave without completing the course or programme they were registered on, or one of equivalent or higher level, should be reported as withdrawn. Level refers to level of study, for example 4, 5 or 6.

As per the coverage statement, where students are studying outside the UK and are not expected to spend a block of eight weeks or more in the UK, they should be included in the AOR return. If their intention subsequently changes and they continue their studies in the UK, they would be included in the Student or Student Alternative return from that point onwards. They would not be recorded in any of the AOR headcounts once included in the respective individualised return.
