For England and Wales, an ESFA/WG-DfES student is defined as a student following a course funded by the ESFA or WG-DfES (at HE level). Students coded 3 will be regarded as FE funding council students funded by the relevant FE funding body. Students coded 2 will be assumed to be HE level students with no ESFA/WG-DfES funding. Valid entry 3 can be used for ESFA/WG-DfES funded Higher Apprenticeships or Personal Learning Account (PLA) funded provision at FE colleges in Wales. If a provider believes they have other students in this category contact HESA before coding. |
