Graduate Outcomes Survey Results record 2021/22 - Notification log
This document summarises all communications associated with the 2021/22 Graduate Outcomes collection. Please refer to the revision history document for full technical list of changes to the specifications.
HESA issue regular communications during the life of a collection:
- Circulars: announcements to interested parties concerning or issues relating to the collection. Circulars are always made available on the HESA website for later reference, and emailed out to the mailgroup for the collection.
- Coding manual release overviews: these document iterative changes to the technical documentation that define the form of the data to be submitted, as well as being a place to host resources associated with collecting that data.
2024-02-14 Coding manual release - version 1.8
Version 1.8 includes the following change:- Derived field XINTSTUDY technical specification updated to align with a change to the qualifications included under PREVTYPEQUALX.
2024-01-25 Coding manual release - version 1.7
Version 1.7 includes the following change:- Derived fields XBUS2020SOC, XBUS2020SOC3, XEMP2020SOC, XEMP2020SOC3, XWRK2020SOC and XWRK2020SOC3 labels updated to align with SOC2020 v9.
- Coverage for SEEKTEACH has been updated to include when EMPLDTEACH is blank.
2023-10-04 Coding manual release - version 1.6
Version 1.6 includes the following change:2023-08-10 Coding manual release - version 1.5
Version 1.5 includes the following change:- Specification updated for derived fields XACTMEAN, XACTONTRACK and XACTSKILLS.
- Derived fields XBUS2020SOC, XEMP2020SOC and XWRK2020SOC labels updated to align with SOC2020 v8.
2023-06-07 Coding manual release - version 1.4
Version 1.4 includes the following change:- Guidance updated for UCNAME.
2023-01-25 Coding manual release - version 1.3
Version 1.3 includes the following changes:- Coverage of the record has been updated.
- Valid entry 10088214 has been added to PREVUCNAME and UCNAME.
- Specification of valid entry labels for derived fields XBUS2020SOC, XEMP2020SOC and XWRK2020SOC have been updated.
2022-11-30 Coding Manual Release - Version 1.2
Version 1.2 includes the following changes:- Updated valid entry labels for TYPEQUAL and PREVTYPEQUAL.
2022-11-15 Coding Manual Release - Version 1.1
Version 1.1 includes the following changes:- The specification of the data delivery files for core and opt in questions has been updated to reflect changes to the survey data and derived fields for the 21072 collection.
- The specification of the data supply specification (cohort files) has been updated to match the cohort data supply files available via the Graduate Outcomes Portal for the 21072 collection.
- Guidance note on the use of raw survey data has been updated.
- Valid entry labels have been updated for UCNAME and PREVUCNAME as a result of provider name changes.
- Valid entries for BUSEMPCITY and EMPCITY have been updated to provide additional locations in Northern Ireland, amended labels to provide greater clarity and to remove duplicated locations from the list.
2022-09-22 Coding Manual Release - Version 1.0
Version 1.0 of the coding manual includes the full technical specification of the record, along with supporting documentation for the 2021/22 reporting period.
Version 1.0 includes the following changes:
- Valid entries for UCNAME and PREVUCNAME have been updated to include new providers and remove providers no longer valid (e.g. as a result of a merger or closure).
