HE-BCI record 2022/23 - Notification log
This document summarises all communications associated with the 2022/23 HE-BCI collection, from first publication of known changes to the record through to collection closure. Please refer to the revision history document for full technical list of changes to the specifications.
HESA issue regular communications during the life of a collection:
- Circulars: announcements to interested parties concerning or issues relating to the collection. Circulars are always made available on the HESA website for later reference, and emailed out to the mailgroup for the collection.
- Coding manual release overviews: these document iterative changes to the technical documentation that define the form of the data to be submitted, as well as being a place to host resources associated with collecting that data.
2023-12-21 Manual release - version 1.5
This release of the coding manual includes the following:
- The quality rules have been added under the 'Submission process and quality assurance' section of the coding manual.
2023-12-05 Manual release - version 1.4
This release of the coding manual includes the following:
- Guidance has been updated within HE-BCI Part B Table 3 - Regeneration and development programs.
- Guidance has been updated for the introduction to clarify which English providers submit data to the collection.
2023-10-11 Manual release - version 1.3
This release of the coding manual includes the following:
- The non functioning 22032 HE-BCI Part B template has been added under the 'Downloadable files' section.
2023-09-27 Manual release - version 1.2
This release of the coding manual includes the following:
- The derived field specifications have been added under the 'Downloadable files' section.
- Guidance has been added within HE-BCI Part B Table 4 - Intellectual property (IP).
- The support guides have been added under the 'New to HESA or having problems?' section.
2023-08-09 Manual release - version 1.1
The data collection schedule has been added, informing of the collection dates for the 2022/23 collection.
2023-04-05 Manual release - version 1.0
This is the first release of the manual, which includes the full suite of guidance for the 2022/23 collection.
The changes published in version 1.0 of the C22032 HE-BCI coding manual are reflective of guidance review discussions held with the statutory customers in order to ensure the guidance remains current and fit-for-purpose.
