This document summarises all communications associated with the 2022/23 Aggregate Offshore, from first publication of known changes to the record through to collection closure. Please refer to the revision history document for full technical list of changes to the specifications.
HESA issue regular communications during the life of a collection:
- Circulars: announcements to interested parties concerning or issues relating to the collection. Circulars are always made available on the HESA website for later reference, and emailed out to the mailgroup for the collection.
- Coding manual release overviews: these document iterative changes to the technical documentation that define the form of the data to be submitted, as well as being a place to host resources associated with collecting that data.
2023-07-12 Manual release - Version 1.4
Version 1.4 includes the following:
- Updates to the coverage of the record.
- Release of the HESA XML data entry tool under the 'Submission process and quality assurance' section of the coding manual.
- Release of the how to use the HESA XML data entry tool guidance under the 'Submission process and quality assurance' section of the coding manual.
- Release of the nil return sign-off form (PDF) under the 'downloadable files' section.
- Release of the quality rules under the 'Submission process and quality assurance' section of the coding manual.
- Release of the validation kit under the 'Submission process and quality assurance' section of the coding manual.
2023-06-06 Manual release - Version 1.3
The nil return sign-off form (PDF) has been removed from the coding manual.
2023-04-26 Manual release - Version 1.2
Version 1.2 includes the following:
- Updates to the pattern value and field length for INSTCAMPType and INSTCAMPSUBType within C22052DataTypes.xsd.
- Updates to the coding manual release schedule.
- Release of the derived field specifications under the 'Data specification' section of the coding manual.
- Release of the support guides under the 'New to HESA or having problems?' section of the coding manual.
2023-03-22 Manual release - Version 1.1
Version 1.1 includes the following:
- First release of the data collection schedule.
2023-02-23 Manual release - Version 1.0
The first release of documentation for the Aggregate Offshore record 2022/23 includes the following:
- Updates to the Coverage of the record.
- Updates to field length and guidance for the field Provision.INSTCAMP.
- Updates to valid entries for the field Provision.TYPE.
