Description | This field records the type of collaborative provision.
Applicable to | England Northern Ireland Scotland Wales
Coverage | All CollaborativeProvision entities where the Engagement is part of a collaborative arrangement between the reporting provider and a partner outside the UK.
Notes | The type of collaborative provision that the Engagement is a part of should be returned in this field. Collaboration with overseas providers Valid entries 01 and 02 should be used where the Engagement is part of a programme where there is a formal collaborative arrangement with an overseas provider and study at the overseas provider is a pre-requisite for study at, and eventual award of a qualification from, a provider in the UK. In most cases, this will involve the student being registered at both providers. These arrangements are recorded with valid entries 01 or 02 depending on whether the majority of the student's time is intended to be spent in the UK or overseas. If there is an equal split of time spent in the UK and overseas, 01 should be returned. The valid entries can be updated from 01 to 02 and vice versa throughout the Engagement if the pattern of study changes. Incoming exchange students who do not meet the above definition for collaborative provision should not have this field returned and should be indicated as incoming exchange students in the Engagement.INCOMINGEXCHANGE field. |
