QualificationAwardAccreditation.ACCREDITATIONID captures the Accreditation identifier for the qualification that the student has achieved.

This field should be returned if qualifications are accredited, recognised or endorsed by a listed Professional, Statutory and Regulatory body (PSRB). This includes qualifications that lead to initial registration, support enhanced registration, or have been recognised by the regulatory body.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - England and Wales

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) awards are accredited by the Department for Education (DfE) in England and Education Workforce Council (EWC) in Wales. Students successfully completing ITT courses in England and Wales, who achieve QTS should be coded to the appropriate regulatory body at the appropriate teaching level (indicating primary or secondary) in this field.

Registration with the General Teaching Council (GTC) - Northern Ireland and Scotland

Students who successfully complete ITT courses in Northern Ireland and Scotland and gain registration with the GTC in Northern Ireland (GTCNI) and Scotland (GTCS) respectively should be coded to the appropriate regulatory body at the appropriate teaching level (primary or secondary) in this field.

Nursing & Midwifery Council
Codes 11102 - 11107 should be used by providers to cover the granular functions of the Nursing & Midwifery Council.

Generic code 11108 'The Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)' is not available for use in this field. The code is available to providers in England in CurriculumAccreditation.ACCREDITATIONID for Students who specialise part way through a Course. However, students who successfully complete a Course will achieve a more specific accreditation and it is this code that must be returned in this field.

Health and social care students

This field only contains the more granular valid entries for Health and Social care students as, on being awarded the qualification, the student will have specialised. The generic valid entries for the General Dental Council (05802), Health and Care Professions Council (06920) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (11108) are not available in this field but can be returned in CurriculumAccrediation.ACCREDITATIONID where the student starts their studies on a generic accreditation and specialises later.
