C21061 Unistats Record: exceptional guidance

In general, for courses starting in the 2022/23 academic year, we would not expect to see changes made to a provider's Unistats submission directly in relation to the pandemic, unless a permanent change to course structure has been made. For example, where a course has temporarily moved to distance learning as a result of the pandemic, we would not expect this change to be reflected in the Unistats data. Please see the C20051 Student Exceptional guidance for related guidance in the Instance.LOCSDY field.

In line with consumer protection law, any changes to courses such as online delivery or start dates should be made clear on providers' individual course web pages. For general guidance on this, please see the OfS publication 'Guidance for providers about student and consumer protection during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic'.
