    HESA publication 'Staff in Higher Education Institutions 2012/13' released today

    Staff in Higher Education Institutions 2012/13 shows that there were 185,585 academic staff employed at UK Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on 1 December 2012. 55.5% of academic staff were male. 30.9% were aged 51 years or over and 66.0% were employed full-time.

    Students in Higher Education Institutions 2012/13 shows that there were 2,340,275 students studying at higher education institutions in the UK in 2012/13. Of these 425,265 were students from outside the UK coming here to study.

  • Foreword - Higher Education Statistics 2011/12

    HESA is pleased to present the annual official statistical overview of higher education in the United Kingdom (UK) for the year 2011/12. This is the latest edition in a series that was initiated by the then Department for Education in 1993. It is a National Statistics publication.

    The volume aims to present a comprehensive set of statistical information about a range of aspects of the UK higher education sector.

This National Statistics publication gives a statistical overview of higher education in the 2011/12 academic year including data from HESA and other statistics producers. Commentary, summary tables and charts are provided in the online introduction.

    Results of the longitudinal survey of 2008/09 graduate destinations released today.

    A sample of graduates who left higher education in 2008/09 were asked what they were doing on 26 November 2012. The full report of the survey results is available on the HESA website. Summary results and charts can be found in the introduction.

    HESA publication 'Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Institutions 2011/12' released.

    The publication, released on Tuesday 30 July 2013, provides extensive coverage of the 2011/12 DLHE survey. The online introduction includes a variety of graphs and tables displaying the survey results.

    The full tables show the indicators for every HE institution in the UK alongside their benchmark. Summary tables showing statistics for the whole UK can be found here.

It provides details of the destinations of UK and other European Union domiciled leavers from higher education (HE) who obtained qualifications in higher education institutions (HEIs) in the United Kingdom (UK), during the academic year 2011/12. The data presented draws on the new version of the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey introduced in 2011/12.
