The current HE-BCI (Higher Education Business and Community Interactions) dataset helps us to answer only four of five questions:

New experimental statistics show disparities in degree attainment between most and least deprived areas narrowed during COVID in Scotland and Northern Ireland, but widened in Wales.

The difference in degree attainment between students from the most and least deprived areas based on HESA’s deprivation measure reduced during the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland and Northern Ireland, but increased in Wales.

Data Futures March 2023 programme update

We are writing to provide a Data Futures programme update and requirements for the 2022/23 collection. 

The Data Futures programme is pleased to announce the HESA Data Platform (HDP) is now live and open for providers to submit data. The HDP launch marks a technological milestone in our sector-wide transformation programme for higher education (HE) data. 

Jisc has been the Data Futures technical delivery partner since March 2020 and HESA merged with Jisc in October 2022.
