Jisc’s Analytics Labs and HESA’s Community Dashboards are part of a collaboration between Jisc and HESA to build a business intelligence shared service for higher education, part of which is available via HESA’s Heidi Plus HE intelligence platform. Dashboards are developed through a series of Analytics Labs made up of HE professionals, and the most useful and viable are published through Heidi Plus.

Being shortlisted for the NTAs is recognition of the impact that Heidi Plus Community Dashboards have on the UK HE sector.

“Analytics Labs provides the front-line insight into the business intelligence needed by both HE academics and HE professionals, which we then make available via Community Dashboards and Heidi Plus,” says Nicola Phelps, Head of Digital Services at HESA.  “Being shortlisted for the NTAs is recognition of the impact that the initiative is already having across the UK HE sector.”

Hundreds of staff from almost 100 HE providers have so far participated in Analytics Labs and consequently helped produce dashboards and data visualisations that benefit their colleagues throughout the UK, covering topics such as student recruitment, graduate employability, course provision, staffing, estates, research and finance.

The Awards’ winners will be announced at a gala evening on 17 May 2018.
