This field records the 10-character code issued by UCAS.

All students who entered any of their current instances from 2007 onwards via a UCAS scheme and who have been issued a UCAS Personal Identifier

To identify students who entered a current instance via a UCAS application system and to facilitate linking between UCAS and HESA records.
The UCAS Personal Identifier together with the UCAS application number (EntryProfile.UCASAPPID) forms the UCAS Application Identifier. The UCAS Personal Identifier is sometimes presented using hyphens between characters 3 and 4 and between characters 6 and 7. These hyphens are not to be included in this field in the Student Record.
This information will be available from UCAS via the *J transaction.
