Additional information

This field is to identify which members of staff returned are new staff members at the provider within the reporting year.

This field looks at all contracts for a staff member, including any in the historic tables and finds the date of the first contract that has been supplied. This first contract date is then used to determine whether the staff member is a new starter or not.

Technical Specification

If a member of staff has more than one contract and one or more of those Contract.STARTCON = NULL, where Contract.STARTCON exists then the earliest date of the returned contracts will be used.
