Notes |
This field is contains a subset of codes applicable to this record from the Course.TTCID field in the Student record. Any student who transfers from an ITT to a non ITT course before the DfE census date (2nd Wednesday in October) should be be excluded from the census by identifying them during data collection and/or have their record updated with TTCID = 0 'Not a teacher training course' so that the student is identified as not being on an ITT course. It is important that the same NUMHUS is reported where the student is studying at the same level i.e. UG or PG. If a student transfers from an ITT to a non ITT course after the DfE census date, TTCID should be retained to reflect the status on the original ITT course. Code 1 includes PGCE, BEd, first degree with Qualified Teacher Status and courses leading concurrently to a degree and to a diploma in Education. Code 2 includes courses leading to Further Education Teacher Qualification and to Nursing and Midwifery Teacher Qualification. FE courses will be specifically identified in Student.ITTPHSC code 31 'Further education'. Code 0 is available for students submitted that are not on an ITT course. When a student has transferred from an ITT course to a non-ITT course at the same provider use code 0 to identify that the student is no longer eligible for funding from the DfE. Code 1 should only be used for trainees eligible for DfE funding. Please review the Department of Education website for further information on funding eligibility. Providers are not expected to return a record to HESA for students on SCITT routes (e.g. GTP, OTT and RTP). The DfE collects this data via the Database of Trainee Teachers and Providers (DTTP). |
