Description

This field records the UK Provider Reference Number (UKPRN), which is the unique identifier allocated to providers by the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP), for the subcontractual partners of the returning provider where there are multiple registering partners.

Applicable toEngland Northern Ireland Scotland Wales
Coverage

All providers where any provision is registered with multiple providers.

Notes

The UK Provider Reference Number (UKPRN) for each subcontractual partner of the returning provider that has students registered at multiple providers should be returned for OTHERINST. This is to enable students with this kind of provision to be correctly allocated in Unistats aggregations. This includes any subcontractual provision from the 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22 collection years.

The UKPRN can be obtained from the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP).

This field must not be completed with the same UKPRN as Institution.UKPRN.

This field is used to indicate the subcontractual partners for courses that have a mix of funding routes. This field may be used where a course is taught by the registering provider, but some students on the course are registered at an additional partner provider. The non-teaching registering provider should be listed here.

HESA does not expect this field to be returned by providers. Providers should contact Liaison if they believe the field should be returned, for example where there are multiple registering providers.
