The impact of COVID-19 on the 2019/20 to 2021/22 finance releases

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic was declared in March 2020, part way through the 2019/20 academic year. Depending (among other factors) on the financial year end of each provider, there may have been varying impacts of the pandemic on individual providers’ financial data for 2019/20 into 2021/22.

CE and CPD for individuals, Table 2 (2021/22)

In 2021/22, The College of Health Ltd incorrectly reported their ‘CE and CPD for individuals’ within Table 2b as £13,875,000 which should have been £13,875. This was due to them returning data in the wrong units.

Spin-offs with some HEP ownership, Table 4e (2021/22)

In 2021/22, SRUC inaccurately reported figures for ‘Estimated current turnover of all active firms (£000s)’ and ‘Estimated external investment received (£000s)’ in spin-offs with some HEP ownership in the incorrect units, £5,000 and £160,000, respectively. The correct figures are (£000s) £5 and £160.
