Graduate Outcomes Survey Results record 2022/23 - Notification log
This document summarises all communications associated with the 2022/23 Graduate Outcomes collection. Please refer to the revision history document for full technical list of changes to the specifications.
HESA issue regular communications during the life of a collection:
- Circulars: announcements to interested parties concerning or issues relating to the collection. Circulars are always made available on the HESA website for later reference, and emailed out to the mailgroup for the collection.
- Coding manual release overviews: these document iterative changes to the technical documentation that define the form of the data to be submitted, as well as being a place to host resources associated with collecting that data.
2024-05-01 Coding manual release - version 1.4
Version 1.4 includes the following change:- Guidance updated under the data dissemination section within the introduction, to clarify the timeline of the release of HESA Graduate Outcome data.
- Guidance and valid entries have been updated for BUSEMPCITY and EMPCITY
- Leading and trailing spaces have been removed for valid entry labels for collected and derived fields.
2024-02-14 Coding manual release - version 1.3
Version 1.3 includes the following change:- Derived field XINTSTUDY technical specification updated to align with a change to the qualifications included under PREVTYPEQUALX.
2024-01-25 Coding Manual Release - Version 1.2
Version 1.2 includes the following changes:
- Derived fields XBUS2020SOC, XBUS2020SOC3, XEMP2020SOC, XEMP2020SOC3, XWRK2020SOC and XWRK2020SOC3 labels updated to align with SOC2020 v9.
- Coverage for SEEKTEACH has been updated to include when EMPLDTEACH is blank.
2023-10-04 Coding Manual Release - Version 1.1
Version 1.1 includes the following changes:
- First publication of the derived field specifications for the c22072 collection.
2023-08-09 Coding Manual Release - Version 1.0
Version 1.0 of the coding manual includes the full technical specification of the record, along with supporting documentation for the 2022/23 reporting period.
Version 1.0 includes the following changes:
- Update to coverage.
- Update to the specification for data supply and data supply (SIC/SOC) files.
- Update to the portal user guide
- Update to the survey routing diagram for the 22071/72 collections.
- Addition of link to the HESA SIC 2007 and SOC 2020 web page tools under the coding manual 'process and quality assurance' section.
- Addition of the field SID to replace HUSID
- Update to coverage for the following fields to align with fields in 22056 collections: COLLOUT, COLLSUBDIFF, CONDRSCH, DISKNOW, EMPLDTEACH, GENSKILDEV, GTCSTIS, INTLMOB, KNOWBASE, MRSCHDEG, OTHRRSCHDEG1, OTHRRSCHDEG2, OTHRRSCHDEG3, OTHRRSCHDEG4, OTHRRSCHDEG5, OTHRRSCHDEG6, OTHRRSCHDEG7, OTHRRSCHDEG8, OTHRRSCHDEG9, OTHRRSCHDEG10, OTHRRSCHDEG11, PLCINTSHP, RSCHFIND, RSCHSKILDEV, SEEKTEACH, TEACHFUND, TEACHPHS, WRKAUTO, WRKPART, WRKSUPER
- Update to valid entries for BUSEMPCITY, EMPCITY, UCNAME and PREVUCNAME.
