This UK Performance Indicators release focuses on participation rates among those from underrepresented backgrounds and those in receipt of disabled students’ allowance (DSA).

The first release of staff data for the academic year 2015/16 shows that 410,130 staff were employed in the HE sector of whom 201,380 (49%) were academic staff. 17% of academic staff were EU nationals and 12% had a non-EU nationality. 24% of professors were female.

The first release of student data for the academic year 2015/16 shows that 2,280,830 students were enrolled at HE providers in 2015/16, an increase of 0.7% on last year's figure. The number of first year students from outside the EU fell for the second year in a row. 742,730 HE qualifications were awarded and 24% of first degree graduates gained a first class honours classification.

FreeDestinations of Leavers from Higher Education in the United Kingdom for the academic year 2014/15
This SFR provides details of the destinations of UK and other European Union domiciled leavers from higher education (HE) who obtained qualifications in HEPs in the UK, during the academic year 2014/15. The data presented draws on the 2014/15 Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey and presents time series analysis relating back to 2011/12 when the revised DLHE survey was introduced.
Higher education student enrolments and qualifications obtained on undergraduate designated courses at alternative providers in England 2014/15
The AP SFR provides details of undergraduate student enrolments and qualifications obtained on designated courses by HE students at APs in England for the academic year 2014/15 who returned data to HESA. The APs who returned data to HESA in 2014/15 were large providers who offered HE courses within the AP sector. The AP SFR includes all undergraduate HE students enrolled on designated courses at these APs irrespective of whether the student was in receipt of SLC funding.
