UK Statistics Authority confirm HESA as producer of National Statistics

UK Statistics Authority have confirmed the National Statistics designation for HESA's Higher Education Student Statistics release.

Following an Official Statistics compliance review, the Office for Statistics Regulation agreed that Higher Education Student Statistics meets the standards of public value, trustworthiness, and quality necessary to carry the National Statistics logo. A letter published today on the UKSA website, confirms the findings of the review.

Other statistical releases from HESA continue to be designated as Official Statistics, reflecting HESA's commitment to the Code of Practice for Statistics.

Higher Education Student Statistics: UK, 2017/18 - the National Statistics release of HESA student data for the 2017/18 academic year - will be published on 17 January 2019.
