HESA is not covered by the Freedom of Information Act 2000. However, we will do our best to answer any queries we receive.
We are not a public authority under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. We are a not-for-profit private limited company owned by its members. Our members are Universities UK and GuildHE, the two representative bodies of HE institutions in the United Kingdom. We are funded by subscriptions from higher education providers throughout the UK.

We have formal agreements with our statutory customers to provide the data they require to fulfil their public functions.
