We support HE providers in the development and improvement of data capability.
The HEDIIP programme developed a data capability toolkit to help providers understand and improve standards of data management and governance. In addition, we publish an inventory of HE data collections to help providers maintain an oversight of their data reporting obligations.

The HESA/Jisc Business Intelligence project undertook a business intelligence maturity survey to help providers understand and improve their capabilities in deriving value from their data assets.
The Data Landscape Steering Group promotes good practice in the collection and handling of data and we continue to explore ways in which we can assist the sector develop its data capability. We will continue to support the work on data capability through training events and e-learning. In addition, we are looking to collaborate closely with Jisc on the respective data and digital capability work.
