Notes to tables - Estates management 2009/10

  1. The following institution has changed its name in the HESA products for 2009/10: 
    • Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication changed to Ravensbourne.

  5. In 2009/10 it remained unconfirmed as to whether the Edinburgh College of Art's and The University of Bradford's returns for Energy consumption and Energy emission figures (data items D38a and D38c) were Gross Calorific Values or Net Calorific Values. 
  6. In 2009/10 Stranmillis University College submitted only a partial EMS return to HESA, as this was the first year Estates Management Statistics had been requested from the College. 
  7. In 2009/10 The University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne overstated the following Waste mass figures: Waste Total Construction - Recycled (D73.C15a); Waste Total Construction - Other Methods (D73.C15c). Waste Total Construction (D73.C15). These figures should have been reported as 2,446 tonnes, 612 tonnes and 3,058 tonnes respectively. 
  8. The FSR submissions for The University of East Anglia and The University of Essex include figures for income, net return, net assets and deferred capital grants for the University Campus Suffolk, which is a 50:50 joint venture between these two universities.
