The Data Futures Specification and An Introduction to the Data Futures Student Record e-learning

The An Introduction to the Data Futures Student Record e-learning (formerly The Data Futures Specification) has been named to match the convention of our other live collection streams.  The course is divided into a suite of mini-modules to make the information easier to digest and to meet the diverse knowledge requirements of HESA's customers and other interested parties.

The An Introduction to the Data Futures Student Record course in its entirety is CPD-accredited. Total CPD activity (all mini-modules) equates to 5.5 CPD hours.

Data Futures The HESA Data Platform (HDP) Beta Demo and The HESA Data Platform (HDP) e-learning

This is an introductory demonstration of the Beta version of the HESA Data Platform (HDP) system.  It is designed for providers wanting an overview of the progressive system design and capability. This demo is not intended as a comprehensive tutorial on the system. The demo is not CPD accredited.

This course was updated on 9 June 2022 for Beta Phase 2 release of the HESA Data Platform.

  • Demonstrate capability of the HDP system (Beta version)

This accredited e-learning course takes users through an overview of the data migration approach and considerations of the Data Futures programme.

Data Futures Additional tools and reports e-learning

This accredited e-learning course provides an overview of tools used in Data Futures such as the SID Calculator, Data Entry tool and Online Validation Tool (OVT).  It also looks at Data Futures Reporting in the HESA Data Platform (HDP).
